We've been busy learning about these first two operations, as we continue to work with three-digit numbers.  Not only have we been challenging ourselves to use an array of different methods to reach our answers, everything ranging from concrete objects and number bonds to number lines and more formal methods, but we have also been looking at how they are linked.  Would you be able to use the inverse to check one of your calculations?
