This term, we will be focusing on measurement in our Maths lessons.  We will begin by looking at length where we will learn to measure different items using metres, centimetres and millimetres. We will then learn how to convert between these different units of measurement before moving on to compare their values.  We will then turn our focus to measuring mass using scales. We will look at different units used to measure mass, specifically grams and kilograms. We will have lots of practice of reading weighing scales that have different values for each marking before moving on to some more challenging word problems.  Finally, we will conclude by learning about volume and capacity. We will learn to measure volume using millilitres and litres, and then be provided with many opportunities to answer various problem-solving questions related to this topic.
