Forces and Magnets

As we embark on our new exciting topic of Magnets and Forces, we have got off to a flying start by carrying out lots of investigative work.  After discussing what a force was, we came up with a vast array of vocabulary to describe the pushing and pulling movements they cause, twisting, squashing, stretching, rolling... to name but a few.  We then moved on to seeing this in action and comparing how objects (vehicles) move along different surfaces.  It definitely helped to consolidate the measuring we've been doing in Maths!  We are then going to move on to focusing on magnetic forces in particular.
