This term we have had a very special visitor come and share their wonderful expertise and guidance as we have tried our hands at replicating and making our own Anglo-Saxon shields.  We began by studying them, analysing their patterns and colour before designing our own.  Then Jackie Toppings from 'A Touch of Clay' came in and helped us to put them into fruition.  Once they have been returned from being 'fired' we will then add some colour to them.
